I am in need of new mellow indie music?

I don’t like bands like Cocorosy.
I like more mellow music. Death Cab’s my favorite band and has been for six years.
Already have Beirut’s album Flying Club Cup is indeed and amazing album and NMH is a band I’ve listened to for a while. Love their allusions to Anne Frank.

you may or may not like Neutral Milk Hotel, but I am willing to bet you will like Beirut, at least The Flying Club Cup album. Listen to the clips of the second and third songs on the first link. They are really some of the best songs I have heard in a long time. The second link is to Neutral Milk Hotel.

Ah, you have alright taste in music similar to mine. I might be able to help. Try Reindeer Section (Same lead singer as Snow Patrol), Belle and Sebastian (who also has members in Reindeer Section), Logh, Radiohead (weird but awesome music – From The Bends on…), The Apples in Stereo, Arcade Fire, Broken Social Scene, David Singer, Dinosaur Jr., Elliot Smith, The Fire Theft, Five Eight, Jose Gonzalez, Joseph Arthur, Luna, Galaxie 500, Nada Surf, OneLineDrawing, Maps & Atlases, Pinback, Q and Not the U, The Rum Diary, Right Away Great Captain, Say Hi and Say Hi to Your Mom (Same Group), Stars of Track and Field, Spiritualized, Surrounded, Desert City Soundtrack, This Is Me Smiling, The Promise Ring, Thurston Moore, Ugly Casanova, Wilco, and The Weakerthans.
That’s all the ones I can think of now. Ninety percent of them are mellow. The others are mellowish but all of them are awesome as can get.
