I don’t like bands like Cocorosy.

I like more mellow music. Death Cab’s my favorite band and has been for six years.
Already have Beirut’s album Flying Club Cup is indeed and amazing album and NMH is a band I’ve listened to for a while. Love their allusions to Anne Frank.

I’ve known for a long time that my favorite band was indie, but I don’t really know what classifies indie music as indie music, if that makes any sense, so I’m kind of helpless finding more good bands in that genre.

Can anybody give me some good indie bands and explain what exactly makes indie music what it is? Thanks.
