GUYS (and girls but guys mostly): do you think indie music is girly?

some of my guy friends think indie music like death cab for cutie, the shins etc. . . . are girly and only girls who don’t have boyfriends listen to indie music because its sappy and depressing.
do you feel that way or do you like it?
alot of indie bands are guys so i’m guessing some guys obviously like it!!!
what are your thoughts????
